How Amazon is creating a new class of digital coupons, digital art tablets, digital gift cards for consumers

Digital coupons are getting a new lease on life on Amazon.

The online retail giant announced Tuesday that it is adding coupons for digital art, fashion and beauty products to its online shopping.

These coupons, which Amazon calls “Digital Art” coupons, can be bought online for as little as $0.99 per coupon and can be redeemed for an item or gift.

Amazon says these digital coupons can be used to purchase a variety of products, ranging from cosmetics and nail polish to toiletries and clothes.

“The coupons are great for those of you who are looking for something in the digital art category, or for those looking for a new digital coupon option for those who want to take advantage of the convenience of Amazon’s online store,” Amazon spokesperson Liz Cote wrote in an email to ABC News.

“You can redeem them for a variety that are available, and they’re great for shoppers who have digital access and don’t have time to check out a lot of products.”

Cote added that the Amazon digital coupons will be available in “select cities and markets across the country” over the next few weeks.

The company says it plans to launch these coupons in the coming weeks.
